By creating an account or using StudyBudy (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be able to form a binding contract; if you are a minor, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.
StudyBudy provides flashcard creation, AI-assisted generation, spaced-repetition scheduling, study groups, and a public deck library. You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to abuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, or attempt to circumvent security, rate limits, or entitlement checks.
You retain ownership of the decks, cards, text, images, and documents you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant StudyBudy the limited rights needed to store, process, sync, back up, and display Your Content to you and to the people you choose to share it with. You are solely responsible for Your Content, and you represent and warrant that you own it or have all rights and permissions needed to upload, use, and share it, and that it does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right, violate any privacy right, or break any law. You must not upload or generate content that is illegal, infringing, confidential without authorization, defamatory, harmful, or that you otherwise lack the right to use.
StudyBudy lets you share decks, cards, and images with friends, groups, and the public library. When you share, you are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to share that content and that your sharing complies with all applicable laws, licenses, school or exam integrity rules, and third-party rights (including copyright and privacy). You must not use sharing to distribute infringing, pirated, confidential, or unlawful material. Content you publish to the public library may be copied by other users. You agree to indemnify and hold StudyBudy harmless from any claim arising out of content you upload or share.
AI features generate drafts and can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or wrong. AI output is provided for study assistance only and is not professional, medical, legal, financial, or academic advice. You must review, verify, and validate all AI-generated content before relying on it or sharing it. You are responsible for how you use AI output, and you agree to use AI responsibly and not to submit content you lack the rights to, or to request unlawful, harmful, or infringing material.
StudyBudy Pro is a paid subscription billed through Apple (in-app purchase) or Stripe (web). Subscriptions renew automatically for the applicable period until cancelled, and you authorize these recurring charges. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. Except where required by law or by the platform's own policy, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not refunded; App Store purchases are subject to Apple's refund process, and web purchases are handled under our billing provider's rules. We may change prices on a going-forward basis with notice; continued subscription after a price change is acceptance. To protect against fraud and abuse, we may verify, hold, decline, or reverse transactions and may suspend accounts associated with chargebacks, fraudulent payment, or payment disputes, and we may retain transaction records as permitted by law.
Pro features may evolve. We reserve the right to add, modify, limit, substitute, or remove features included in Pro at any time. If we make a change that we determine materially reduces the core Pro functionality you are paying for, we will notify affected paying subscribers within a reasonable time (for example, by email or in-app notice) and, where required by law or platform policy, offer options consistent with those rules.
We may discontinue or suspend Pro features or the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. For a material discontinuation that affects paying subscribers, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable. Nothing in these terms obligates us to maintain any particular feature indefinitely.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, and it may experience downtime, maintenance, bugs, or crashes. We work to restore service in a timely manner and to protect your data through backups and cloud sync, but we do not guarantee against loss or corruption of data. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of content that is important to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyBudy and its providers disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or losses arising from AI inaccuracy, service interruptions, or content you or others upload or share. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StudyBudy and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your sharing of content, your use of AI output, or your violation of these terms or any law or third-party right.
You may stop using StudyBudy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create legal risk, or abuse the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including content responsibility, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
We may update these terms from time to time; we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice. Your continued use after changes take effect is acceptance. Questions? Contact studybud_y.support@bellzarholdings.com.
